Myself and Alethea Silk – my fellow Common Councillor for the Ward of Walbrook – intend to stand for re-election as a team in 2025 to continue our work representing the amazing Ward of Walbrook.
We stand for and promote a vibrant and safe Ward of Walbrook and supporting the City and economic growth in the UK.
Alethea was elected in the City wide elections in 2022.
Alethea has worked in the City for a number of years, with over 9 years based in Walbrook Ward with Gallagher based in the Walbrook Building.
Whilst currently working in property and security covering an estate both in the City and across the UK, she has also worked across a range of industries and so has much experience to bring.
Further details of Alethea’s career can be found on her LinkedIn page.
Alethea has had to deal with some significant personal heath challenges which she has posted about. She has openly shared her journey to raise awareness and promote the understanding of ulcerative colitis, ileostomy and living with a stoma.
But those challenges have not lessened her commitment to serving Walbrook Ward despite having her final surgery in January 2025 prior to the election period. (Wishing you a speedy recovery Alethea).
Alethea is extremely keen to promote the voice of Walbrook in the City ensuring that the ward is heard, as well as promoting opportunities and support for businesses, residents and workers offered by the Corporation.
She is committed to improving communication between the Corporation and those in the City, and is eager to hear your views and opinions on this for what would help you.
Alethea sits on a number of key committees:
- Court of Common Council
- Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood and Queen’s Park Committee
- Culture, Heritage and libraries Committee
- Port Health & Environmental Services Committee
